Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to ensure the website functions properly or to track user behaviour.

In addition to cookies, we also use other browser storage. Their contents remain on your device and are not automatically transmitted to the server:

  • localStorage — preference settings: oms_locale (interface language), oms_new_part_view (part display mode), oms_cookie_consent (your choice in the cookie banner), oms_guest_save_ack_* (acknowledgement of warnings in anonymous preview).
  • IndexedDB — in anonymous preview (preview mode), the uploaded model file and its metadata (name, description, and optionally author name) are stored here. You can delete this data by clearing site data in your browser settings, or by deleting the project in the application.

This local storage is necessary for the relevant features to work; the legal basis for its use is the controller’s legitimate interest (ensuring interface functionality) under Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. (the Electronic Communications Act) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Essential cookies (no consent required)

These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without losing access to basic features. They are stored as HttpOnly (not accessible to JavaScript) and transmitted only over HTTPS.

Cookie Purpose Duration
oms_session Login session — verifies the creator’s identity when accessing the dashboard and managing models 7 days
model_access_* Access to a password-protected model — stored after successful password entry by the builder 30 days

Legal basis: Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. (the Electronic Communications Act) — consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service. Processing of personal data contained in these cookies has its own GDPR basis: for oms_session, performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (see Privacy Policy, Section 2.1); for model_access_*, legitimate interest in providing access to a password-protected model under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (see Privacy Policy, Section 2.8).

2.2 Commercial activation (Creem) — no cookie from us

The “Activate”/“Renew” button (activation or renewal of the commercial subscription, Section 3.3 of the Terms of Service) redirects you to the hosted checkout page of Armitage Labs OÜ, operating the Creem platform (Merchant of Record) — unlike the earlier solution, this is not an embed/overlay loaded inside our website, but a full redirect to their domain (creem.io). Simply opening the checkout therefore does not set any cookie on our domain. Once redirected, you are governed by Creem’s privacy policy and cookies (creem.io/privacy), not by this document.

Details on the processing of payment data: Privacy Policy, Section 2.3.

2.3 Micro-donations (Ko-fi) — no cookie from us

The “Support on Ko-fi” button on the /{lang}/donate page (Section 3.4 of the Terms of Service) is a plain external link — it opens the ko-fi.com/onemorestud page in a new window/tab. It is not an embed or widget loaded within our website, so clicking it sets no cookie on our domain. Once you open Ko-fi, you become subject to Ko-fi’s privacy and cookie policy (ko-fi.com/privacy), not this document.

2.4 Analytics cookies (consent required)

We use Google Analytics to track traffic and user behaviour on the website. Without your consent, your browser only sends an anonymous technical signal with no cookies and no way to identify you; actual tracking via cookies only begins after you consent in the cookie banner.

Cookie Issuer Purpose Browser duration
_ga Google Distinguishes unique visitors 2 years
_ga_* Google Maintains session state in Google Analytics 2 years

Google Analytics is operated by Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. For data transfers from Google Ireland to Google LLC (USA), standard contractual clauses (SCCs) under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR apply. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

Data retention on Google Analytics servers is set to 14 months (GA Admin → Data Settings → Data Retention), which differs from the lifetime of the cookie itself in the browser (2 years).

We activate analytics cookies only after you consent in the cookie banner. Consent is voluntary and does not affect access to the Service.

3. What we do not use

  • Marketing or remarketing cookies deployed by the Operator (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, etc.)
  • Social networks (share buttons with tracking)
  • Chatbots or live chat tools with their own cookies
  • A/B testing tools with persistent tracking

4. Consent management and settings

4.1 Cookie banner

On your first visit to the website, we display a banner where you can choose whether to allow or reject analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link on the home page, in the dashboard (Privacy and cookies section), on the model page, or on this page.

Requirements for valid consent:

  • Consent is freely given — rejecting analytics does not affect access to the Service.
  • Consent is specific — analytics is separate from essential cookies.
  • Consent is recorded — your choice is stored in your browser (oms_cookie_consent). Without granted consent, no analytics cookies or visitor identifier are set.
  • Consent can be withdrawn at any time as easily as it was given.

4.2 Browser settings

Cookies can be managed or disabled directly in your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies (oms_session) will prevent you from logging into your account.

Guides for the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

4.3 Google Analytics opt-out

Analytics tracking can also be disabled without the cookie banner by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on in your browser.

5. Changes to this policy

We will inform you of material changes to our use of cookies via the cookie banner or a notice on the website at least 14 days in advance. Registered users will also be notified of changes by email. The current version is always available at onemorestud.com/legal/cookies.
